IT Labs
Students at APIIT have access to a number of computer labs on campus.
Webspace has been developed to support the student community by enabling you to communicate and obtain information related to learning, assessment, and project work.
IT services for students:
1. Personalised Student Account
Upon enrolling, you are provided with personal identity with username and password to enable you to securely access your data in the campus computing facilities.
2. Email facility
All students enrolled at APIIT are provided with FREE web-based email facility for electronic communication purposes.
3. Blackboard teaching and learning facilities
Blackboard teaching and learning facilities are implemented to enhance teaching and learning process. Lecturers can provide lecture and course reference materials online, and students can obtain them from the web. You will get access to the system via your username and password.
4. File Storage
All students are allocated a 100MB workspace called 'Z drive' to save your work and files to a secure drive when working with the PCs at the computer labs.
5. Internet and wireless environment
All computers are connected to the campus high-speed Internet line through TPMNet's 155 Mbps fibre optic link. Internet service is provided FREE to students. In addition, students with mobile devices such as notebooks and PDAs can also get WiFi compliant wireless access around campus.
6. Printing
Laser printing facility is provided to students on subsidised fee. You can conveniently print out course reference materials, assignments and projects. For printing plans and drafts, you may use the FREE format printers installed at computer labs.
7. Other services
Scanning, CD burning, and loan of equipments such as headphones, microphones, computer monitor, etc. are provided FREE to students upon presenting valid Student Identification card.
