English Language Requirements

The general English proficiency requirement may be met in one of the following ways:

Note: Students who do not meet the English language proficiency requirements can undertake an intensive English course in their home country or in Malaysia.

English is the first language.
English was the language of instruction in secondary and/or tertiary studies completed.
Satisfactory performance in secondary or tertiary studies already completed in an English speaking country.
Achievement of a satisfactory level of performance in an English language subject at Year 12 or equivalent.
Minimum test score of 6.0 in IELTS. A score of at least 6 is required for each individual band.
Minimum test score of 550 in TOEFL, with a TWE (Test of Written English) score of 5. Scores must be available for both TOEFL and TWE.
Minimum score of 213 for computer-based TOEFL, with an Essay Rating (ER) score of 5.
