
Education & Study Loans
Education and study loans available for students registered for Diploma and Degree programmes are:
National Higher Education Fund / Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN)
The National Higher Education Fund / PTPTN was established under the National Higher Education Act 1997 (Act 566), with the main objectives to provide loans to eligible students at higher learning institutions, to provide saving schemes and to manage funds for higher education.

Eligibility criteria
All students gaining admission into approved courses at local public or private universities / colleges are eligible irrespective of the academic performance or financial background.
Loan coverage
The loan covers RM5,000 per year for a Diploma course and RM16,000 per year for a Degree course.
How to apply
Students can purchase the application form from the Cashier Counter at APIIT or from the PTPTN office. Forms are currently available at RM5.00.

MARA Loan
The MARA Loan programme applies to students who plan to join any private institution for '3+0' programmes. Students must apply to the respective institution before applying for the loan.

Eligibility criteria
The loan only applies to Malay and Bumiputera students who are financially needy and who are not more than 40 years old. In addition, applicants must maintain their CGPA of 2.5 and above to be eligible to apply for the loan.
Loan coverage
The loan covers tuition fees and allowance, the amount of which depends on the student's financial background .

Koperasi Jayadiri Malaysia Berhad (KOJADI)
Koperasi Jayadiri Malaysia Berhad (KOJADI) was established in 1981 with the primary objective of extending an effective educational loan facility to enable needy students to pursue higher education, and to shape human resources into well-trained manpower for the Malaysian Community and the Nation.

Eligibility criteria
The applicant must be a member of KOJADI with RM 100 of initial shares. In addition, the applicant must hold the requisite additional shares ranging from RM500 to RM2,000 for each child. The applicant will have to nominate a child / nominee under a relevant loan scheme. The nominated child / nominee must gain admission to an approved local or overseas institution of higher learning.
Loan coverage
Maximum loan amount is RM 30,000 and is released in two or three disbursements over the entire duration of the course of study.

Maju Institute of Education Development (MIED)
Maju Institute of Education Development (MIED) offers RM 43 million in loans with an average disbursement of RM 6 million to RM 7 million annually. The loans are open to all Malaysians.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have at least five credits in the SPM examination. Priority is given to students pursuing their studies in local institutions.
Loan coverage
The loan covers up to 100% of tuition fees.
