Other financial aid is available in forms of study loans and fund assistance provided by a number of awarding bodies / organisations in Malaysia.
The Social Security Organisation Education Fund (SOSCO)
This fund is for the benefits of SOSCO members / contributors in the form of loan given to dependent children who are in receipt of a monthly benefit for:
Dependent's Benefit
Survivor's Pension or children of an employee who are in receipt of a monthly benefit for Permanent Disablement or Invalidity Pension.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be dependent children of an employee who are contributors to the SOSCO insurance schemes, receiving Invalidity Pension, receiving periodic, or permanent disablement. In addition, the applicants must be below 21 years of age and unmarried at the time of application.
Loan coverage
The fund covers up to 100% of course fees.
How to apply
Application has to be made by completing the "Permohonan Pinjaman Pendidikan PERKESO" form available at the local SOSCO office.

Employees Provident Fund (Account II) Withdrawal Scheme for Education
This scheme allows Employees Provident Fund (EPF) members to withdraw from their Account II to pay the fees for their children or for themselves to undertake further studies in local or overseas institutions.

Eligibility criteria
Eligible EPF members may withdraw the maximum amount of the total fees or all balances in Account II, whichever is lower. Members may apply for withdrawal in each academic year provided that there is balance left in the Account II.
How to apply
Before applying for withdrawal under this scheme, EPF members are required to check the balance in Account II and obtain a letter from EPF that specifies the amount that can be withdrawn. Members can apply for this scheme by completing the KWSP 9H (AHL) form together with relevant supporting documents.

Yayasan (State) Loans
This is a government loan that is applicable to students according to the state where they were born. For instance, students born in Selangor can apply for loans from Yayasan Selangor only.

The loan is applicable to students who possess IC from respective states only.
Loan coverage
The loan covers up to 100% of course fees.
